About This Station

Beamsville Weather Station is powered by a Davis Wireless Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station. The weather station is comprised of an anemometer, a temperature-humidity sensor, a rain gauge and uv and solar sensors situated in optimal positions for the highest accuracy possible. Data is collected using Weather Display software, Virtual Weather Station software, Weatherlink and Astrogenic's SkyMet software. Lightning strikes are detected by a Blitzortung lightning detector. Radar images are displayed using Gibson Ridge Software's GRLevel3 radar viewer. Forecasts for Beamsville are created utilizing WxSim software. The Beamsville Weather Station also uses SoftWX's VirtualVP, making it possible to operate up to 4 weather software programs simultaneously using the single serial link to our Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus console.
